Welcome to the University Club!
The University Club of Portland has enjoyed a rich and colorful history since its founding in 1898 by a group of young college graduates.
Today, we are an accessible downtown Club serving our Members as a catalyst for fellowship, providing meeting rooms, food and beverage and entertainment. Our Membership roster includes professionals from the public and private sectors, business owners, lawyers, authors, entertainers, university administrators and professors, government officials and historians.

The University Club is at the intersection of S.W. 6th Avenue and Jefferson Street on the northwest corner. The Clubhouse is located in the heart of downtown Portland, and is very easy to navigate to. Directions to the Club.
Parking for Guests
The UC Parking Lot is for Members and their spouses, and only while they are using the Club. Nearby parking for guests is available in both the Unitus Building (diagonal from the Club) and the PacWest Center (Key Bank Tower), directly across 6th Avenue from the Club. The parking garage entrance to Unitus is on 5th Avenue, and the entrance to the PacWest garage is on Jefferson Street. Many street meters are available throughout the downtown corridor as well, which cost $1.25 per hour.
Dress Code and Clubhouse Policies
You may want to review the Club dress code before your visit. The Clubhouse also has a strict policy regarding no cell phone use, so please respect other Members and guests in the Clubhouse and refrain from using communications devices.
Where to Enter the Club
Members are encouraged to use the Front Door of the Club, located on the east side, just off of Sixth Avenue. There is a Guest Register located at the Front Desk that all guests are encouraged to sign in. We encourage guests to wait in the Main Lobby until Members arrive.
Handicap Accessible Entrance
The accessible entrance is located on the Jefferson Street side of the building around the corner and to the left of the double door entrance, under the green awning. This is a single door with no steps and a keypad. Use the keypad to enter the code (1225), the door will then open automatically. Once inside the building you will go down the hallway and make your very first right. You will then go toward the office desk; to the right of the desk you will see a door to the chair lift. Ride the lift down one floor to the Main Lobby. When riding the lift you will need to press and hold the button up or down to keep it in motion. From there you may then use the main elevator to get to the floor of your party.
Where to Go
If you are a guest attending an event, meal or function in the Clubhouse, please check in at the Front Desk to find out what room your party is located. The Receptionist will be able to give you directions to your event.

If you are in need of assistance in the Clubhouse, any of the Staff would be happy to answer your questions or concerns. For general inquiries, please visit the Front Desk, or dial extension 301 to reach the receptionist. A staff contact list is located on our website for your reference. UC General Manager Robert Parsons and Assistant Manager Boyd Smith are also available at the Clubhouse to answer any questions, provide assistance, or directions.
