UC ToastmastersThe University Club chapter of Toastmasters was founded in the fall of 2004. Its members meet every week on Thursday mornings for a disciplined but relaxed and social workout in public speaking at the UC's downtown Clubhouse. Guests are welcome, but must be accompanied by a Club Member.
Toastmasters Meetings:Morning Meetings, Weekly Every Thursday, 7:30 am
The meeting will start at 7:30 am sharp and last for one hour. Coffee and water are available.

James M. HillasJames M. Hillas, President, is a partner at Dunn Carney Allen Higgins and Tongue, LLP. An East Coast transplant, Mr. Hillas worked as a newspaper reporter in Massachusetts before moving to Portland to attend law school in 1991. He has been a University Club member since 2002, adjunct faculty at Portland Community College since 2002, and a volunteer for YMCA annual campaign since 1996. He has one son and lives with his significant other, Lisa Thomas, and her two daughters. He joined University Club Toastmasters in August 2004.
Judith M. HutchisonJudith M. Hutchison, Vice President, Education, is a native of Portland, Oregon. She received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing her Master's in Business Administration at Willamette University. Judy is a Client Service Officer at Capital Pacific Bank for a portfolio of small and medium sized companies in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Judy resides in Portland's Pearl District. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Portland, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), Toastmasters, Young Professionals of Portland (YPOP), the University Club, the Multnomah Athletic Club, the Penn Club of Portland, the Wharton Club of Portland, and volunteers with committees at The Catlin Gabel School.
J.C. KootnekoffJ.C. Kootnekoff, Sergeant-at-Arms, is the Director of Sales and Leasing at Norris & Stevens. He joined Norris & Stevens, Inc. after spending eight years in the Commercial Title Insurance industry. He is an active member many commercial real estate boards, including the Commercial Association of Realtors and Central Eastside Industrial Council. Born in Seattle, Washington, Mr. Kootnekoff and wife Sally have been Portland residents for over 18 years. They have a daughter and a son. Mr. Kootnekoff is a founding member of University Club Toastmasters, joining shortly after his election to Club Membership in 2004.
