The University Club's Membership program is featured in a Club Management Perspectives article written by Managing Director Bob Parsons. Mr. Parsons attended the 2008 Club Symposium, and was asked to write an article to highlight the successes of the UC's Membership process.

Senator Barack Obama | May 17, 2008
Senator Barack Obama visited the University Club of Portland for a private fundraising event for his campaign, three days shy of his win in the state of Oregon. Obama made a surprise visit to the UC kitchen to greet UC employees who were working at the event.
 
Jane Goodall | April 24, 2008
Noted scientist and conservationist Jane Goodall visited the Club in the spring of 2008 for a private function. Her life's work living among animals, learning their behaviors, and bringing that information to the rest of the world is recognized by the scientific community in many of her publications.
