About the UC

The University Club of Portland has enjoyed a rich and colorful history since its founding in 1898 by a group of young college graduates.

Today, we are an accessible downtown club serving our Members as a catalyst for fellowship, providing meeting rooms, food and beverage and entertainment. Our Membership roster includes professionals from the public and private sectors, business owners, lawyers, authors, entertainers, university administrators and professors, government officials and historians.

Fine Dining

Our elegant, Tudor-style Main Dining Room, casual Jefferson Bistro and convivial Members' Grille offer fine dining for Members and guests during lunch and dinner hours.

Private Dining Rooms

The Club provides an array of traditionally decorated private dining rooms suitable for almost any occasion.

Events and Activities

A variety of scheduled events and in-house clubs cater to the interests of our Members and their guests, from books to wine to travel to cigars, and of course fine dining. Our Club library is regularly stocked with new releases, books on tape, and a broad array of newspapers and magazines. Our Foundation awards scholarships to graduate students from five Oregon universities annually and offers mentoring and networking opportunities for them.

Reciprocal Clubs

Our Reciprocal Clubs program gives our members access to a network of over 150 private clubs worldwide.
